Essential Fatty Acids and Weight Loss
I just finished listening to a great interview with a guy named Mike Rousell. Mike is an RD, sports nutritionist, and finishing up his PhD in nutrition. While he covered a lot of topics, one of the most interesting was regarding EFA (omega-3, essential fatty acids, fish oil, krill oil, whatever you like to call it) supplementation and the latest research on how beneficial it is in regards to fat loss.
(Now, I've written before on the fact that you should all be taking an EFA supplement, and if you're not, then shame on you. The health benefits for everyone are well researched and well-documented. And if you buy EFA supplements purely based on which one is cheapest, you'll get what you pay for, including fish burps. That's just dumb.)
Well, I just found an article online by Mike on the subject, and it is a must read. As he says, if by the end of reading this article you still aren't ready to take an EFA supplement on a daily basis, well then there is no hope for you.
Read Mike's article here.
Disclaimer: The site the article appears on is your basic hardcore, musclehead type of site. Not one that I typically frequent, and probably not one that will make your favorites list, but that has no bearing on the quality of this article.
